How to apply

  1. Shake it well

The liquid settles in the container. Shake before use so it is evenly mixed.

  2. Work out the dose

Use the calculator above — enter your tyre size and it returns the exact amount for one tyre.

  3. Inject through the valve

Deflate the tyre, remove the valve core and inject the product through the valve stem.

  4. Re-inflate and drive

Refit the core, inflate to the recommended pressure and drive a short distance so the product spreads around the tyre.

About this formula

Our heavy-duty tyre sealant permanently seals punctures up to 5mm in the tread as you drive, preventing deflation and keeping you on the road. Designed for light vehicles under 5 tonnes, it works with 4x4s, RVs, motorhomes, caravans, and light commercial vehicles. It is not recommended for standard passenger cars.

Featuring an innovative, mess-free cap, application is quick, clean, and controlled—simply pour directly from the 1250ml bottle.

The industrial-grade formula lasts the entire life of your tyre, sealing multiple punctures, cutting downtime, and extending tyre life by up to 20%. Unlike many ordinary sealants, puncture repair glue or tyre gel, this sealant is safe for tyres and rims, this non-corrosive, non-hazardous glycol-based blend contains no flammable or toxic ingredients and stays stable in storage or in use.

Keep it alongside your van, 4x4, motorhome or caravan kit to stay prepared and protected - whatever the road throws at you.

Questions

HOW DO I USE IT?

Ensure all wheels are professionally balanced before application. Jack up the wheel to remove the vehicle’s weight from the tyre, then remove the valve cap, unscrew the valve core, and fully deflate the tyre. Inject the recommended amount of sealant through the valve stem using the supplied filling tube if applying from a 1250ml bottle (or by using an injector or pump if applying from a larger sized container). Reinstall the valve core and inflate the tyre to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure. Always apply the sealant to new or fresh tyres, for long-term protection and maximum effectiveness.

What is the maximum puncture size that OKO 4x4 & can permanently seal?

OKO 4x4 & Van is designed to permanently seal multiple punctures of up to 5mm in diameter. Sealing occurs instantly in the tread area as you drive.

By how much can this sealant extend the life of a tyre?

OKO 4x4 & Van can extend tyre life by at least 20%. It helps achieve this by maintaining correct tyre pressure through continuous puncture sealing, while also cooling and conditioning the tyre internally to reduce heat build-up and premature wear.

Which types of vehicles are most suitable for this product?

OKO 4x4 & Van is designed for preventative use in:

Light commercial vehicles up to approximately 5 tonnes (including delivery fleets)

4x4 vehicles fitted with high-profile on/off-road tyres

Recreational vehicles (RVs), motorhomes, and caravans

Horse trailers, boat trailers, and mobile home trailers.

Is OKO 4x4 & Van recommended for use in standard passenger cars?

No. OKO 4x4 & Van is formulated as a preventative sealant for heavier on-road vehicles (up to 5 tonnes), including 4x4s and vans. It is not recommended for standard passenger cars.

Are there any tyre profile or speed rating restrictions?

Yes. OKO 4x4 & Van is not recommended for tyres with a 40-profile or lower, or for tyres with high speed ratings.

Low-profile and high-speed-rated tyres have stiffer sidewalls and tighter tolerances, which can increase the risk of steering vibration or imbalance if sealant is fitted.

Is the sealant compatible with Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)?

It is not compatible with "Direct" TPMS systems that use electronic sensor valves with narrow passages, as these can be restricted. However, it is generally compatible with "indirect" TPMS systems that use wheel speed sensors rather than valve-mounted electronics.

Can this product be used in tyres with inner tubes for road use?

No. OKO 4x4 & Van is designed for use in tubeless pneumatic tyres only. It is not recommended for inner tubes in road-going vehicles, as tube construction and operating conditions do not allow reliable long-term sealing performance.

IS OKO SAFE FOR ME AND MY ENVIRONMENT?

The sealant is an aqueous glycol-based solution that is non-hazardous, non-flammable, and non-corrosive. It is free from latex rubber and is non-allergenic.

OKO operates under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certified management systems, ensuring robust quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards.

Are there any specific rim types that should avoid this sealant?

The sealant is fully compatible with standard steel and alloy wheel rims. However, it is not recommended for use with chrome-plated rims, as these finishes can be more chemically sensitive.
